Welcome to the homepage  of the Army Reserve, 1 Southern Brigade of the Reserve Defence Force (na hOglaigh Cultaca) which is an integral part of the Irish Defence Forces ( Oglaigh Na hEireann).

The site is designed to give you an introduction to the organization structure and location of all the Army Reserve units in the Brigade . All activities are under the command , direction and control of  RDF HQ, in conjunction with it’s Brigade Training Centre, to ensure compliance with the Directorate of  Reserve Training.

Existing members of the Army Reserve may transfer to or attend and train with a unit convenient to their current address to build up the required attendance for annual training and retain skills already acquired or learn new skills in another Corps unit.

If you would like the challenge of training as part of a well motivated team, get on with a great mix of people from all walks of life, test your endurance, your ability to push yourself, and be open to learning new skills that will stand to you in life, then identify the unit formation closest or most suitable to you in  1 S Res Bde

* Note : In line with the Dept of Finance decision on Public Service Numbers, all Recruitment & Promotion in the AR has been suspended until 2011. (April 2, 09)
